Brawl in the Burgh 21 The MMA scene of Pittsburgh is buzzing following 247FIGHTING’s latest fight card.

247FIGHTING has been on over 20 different Brawl in the Burgh fight cards since its debut in 2019. (247FIGHTING).

 

PITTSBURGH (May. 1, 2024) – 247FIGHTING put on their 21st Brawl in the Burgh fight card on April. 20 at Hollywood Casino of Pittsburgh, and the night did not disappoint. The night was full of debuts, knockouts, and long-winded slug fests that kept the audience on their feet. As the cherry on top, the night's main event saw UFC-level competition stepping into the octagon for a fifteen-minute bout.

 

 

Skyy Lesko starts the night off with a bang.

 

 

The action really started to pick up at Brawl in the Burgh in the second fight of the night that saw Skyy Lesko pick up a brutal knockout finish. With just 41 seconds remaining in the final round, Lesko pushed the offense on his opponent Fred Mallinder and finished the fight with a precisely placed overhand to put Mallinder away. This win gives Lesko his first fighting victory and puts his professional record at 1-1.

 

 

Hometown hero Justin Patton picks up knockout win.

 

 

In the last fight before the main event of Brawl in the Burgh, it was made apparent there was a crowd favorite on the card. Pittsburgh native Justin Patton fought Martin Justiz in a five-round bout but finished the fight with a barrage of hooks and straights to put Justiz away. The crowd at The Meadows Casino erupted following Patton's huge knockout, and The Steel City fighter walked out of the building with an improved 6-3 record.

 

 

Khama Worthy shows his experience in huge main event win.

 

 

The main event of Brawl in the Burgh 21 introduced some steep competition, as former UFC fighter and combat fighting veteran Khama Worthy stepped into the Octagon to take on Jimmy Sandlin. Worthy and Sandlin went all five rounds, going back and forth on strikes for 15 minutes. However, in the end Worthy’s experience and quick hands got the better of Sandlin, as Worthy won all five rounds en route to victory. This improves Worthy’s record to 20-10 and places him second on the rankings for Pennsylvania’s Lightweight Division.

 

 

With a large crop of talent taking over the latest Brawl in the Burgh fight card, the expectations are high for 247FIGHTING ahead of Brawl in the Burgh 22 in June.
